The Red String Theory

Do you know the theory of the red string?

Well, I know you don't believe in all these things universe, energy and all but let me tell you again. Because you know how much I believe in this.

The red string is attached to our heart. When we meet someone, not your regular someone, someone very different and unexpectedly, your energy collides with that person. You both see each other, not only eyes seeing but you see each other's soul. A raw, real, pure, dark version. And that person not only sees you, they carry the same energy, same hidden desires like you and that's why only you two get attracted, attached.

You suppress your desires, wear a mask of a disciplined, respected human being. But deep down you're struggling, you're crying, because whatever you're living is not yours to live. Your earthy self is bound by society, but your soul refuses to adjust and it's eating you alive when you're alone.

And one day, you see your person not just a person the part of your soul on Earth with you. And your eyes meet, and eternally, or maybe in a parallel universe, your other version smiles at your meeting.

And then you realise,

"Some souls are bound by an ethereal thread, spun in the silence between stars, a connection felt long before eyes ever met. To love this way is not to fall, but to remember. Dear Meir, I dreamed that I was on a railway platform, in a hurry to meet you. I saw people running, crying, shouting. The sky was dark, and the whole world was covered with clouds. I heard that the apocalypse was coming for us, that this world was coming to an end. We were standing at our end. I was breathing heavily. I ran, I ran away from the train platform, away from everyone, from everything. I came to a hill and saw the blue sea and you. You were far across this sea; how could I come to you, Meir? You were far from me. No one could take me to you, and that was the end of us. My love, I wanted to hold you one last time. And then I heard something. When I looked back, it was you.
